Ada Premieres ‘I Overcame’ Music Video via Ada Meets Media Event
Popular Gospel Music sensation, Ada Ehi hosted a press conference Ada Meets Media last Tuesday July 4, 2017, as she unveiled the video of her long awaited single; ‘I Overcame‘ at the Silverbird cinemas Ikeja Lagos.
She had quite a number of representatives from several media houses, family members and close friends join her.
Ada Meets Media kicked off just before noon with the compere for the evening;Chris Ilems who gave the welcome address and a brief speech about the aim of the conference, stating that Ada had a unique story to tell which would be an inspiration to many across the world.
“Ada has been in the scene for a while now, a lot of people know about the glory today but do not know about the story.
There is the idea that people may think she just came into the Gospel scene, but she has actually been around. She has a story to tell and that story is inspirational. We want other people to be inspired by her story.”
Ada Ehi looked so elegant in an all white ensemble. As she walked gracefully into the hall for the briefing while beaming with smiles, the hall erupted with an applause to honour the ‘woman of the day.’
Ada who is set to release her album in a few weeks, began her speech by appreciating everyone present at Ada Meets Media. Then she went on to share a detailed story on how she embarked on this journey. She revealed that she abandoned her National Youth Service (NYSC) to pursue her love for music which eventually led to the release of her first single.
“I started out with my first official single in 2009, but it wasn’t released as a single, it was my first debut. Later on that year, I released the album ‘Undenied’ and then in the year 2012/2013, we did a double disk tagged ‘Lifted’ and ‘So Fly.’ And now, this year we are looking forward to the new album which will be released in a few weeks
So basically, the journey so far is a very long story that I myself cannot figure out. I am still seeking to find where the starting point is but, all I can say is that, it is a story of God’s Grace. My life is a story of a lady met by the extraordinary Love of Christ Jesus.”
When asked to share details concerning the new video she stated that ‘I Overcame‘ is a song featured on the new album and then she went on to express her joy and appreciation to everyone who contributed to making the video a success.
“The song simply says; I Overcame. He won the victory, He said it is finished and oh my story is written, I overcame, I overcame.
I want to thank everyone who worked with me on the audio, spiritual beatz and Wasiu who made ‘I Testify’ and only you Jesus. A big thank you to Mayo who produced the song ‘Jesus’ and Marvin Keyz my editor and director for ‘Jesus’ and ‘I Overcame’. I want to say a big thank you to Teni my stylist and the Dance group DOL.
After launching the video “I Overcame,” every single individual present in the hall was overwhelmed by the message passed across. The video showcased a message of Victory in Christ Jesus. It portrayed Ada Ehi waging war against the kingdom of darkness and how she was able to overcome with Jesus by her side.
Soltunes had a few things to say about the video and the message it portrays. Despite being overwhelmed he found a way to express his heart stating that the video is bound to spark something new in the lives of those who would watch it.
“ADA thank you so much for always being an inspiration. We have a whole lot of Gospel music videos out there but it is very difficult to project spirituality in a video.
It is very difficult and it is only God that is capable of doing that. Viewing this video alone is a blessing and I believe that this visual has sparked up something inside of us.”
She also revealed during Ada Meets Media that the shooting of the video was in Ijesha Osun State, She added that they initially went through a series of warfare during the shooting and it took the presence of Holy Ghost to help them to achieve what they needed.
“The work we do is not ordinary, we are not trying to stimulate you. There is a war going on and we need to put our best foot forward to proclaim that Jesus is alive and He is working”
