The Experience Lagos is never complete without Minister Don Moen. It is always an amazing time singing along to those worship songs that have dominated our Church worship sessions globally, yet sounding new and refreshing all the time.
Minister Lenny Leblanc also ministered alongside Don and it was all shades of Awesome!
Did we add that the veteran brought so much flavor to the Ibo dialect, as he sang alongside Frank Edwards in Ibo. Wow!!!
Prior to becoming a renowned worship leader, Don Moen worked as a Living Sound musician for minister Terry Law for 10 years. He attended the Christian liberal arts school Oral Roberts University.
He joined the Integrity Music where he served under them for 20 years and was president before leaving to start up his own company, Don Moen Company.
Don recorded five Hosanna! Worship albums before releasing Worship with Don Moen, his first album under his own name.
He has also received a Dove Award for his work on the musical “God With Us” and has received multiple Dove Award nominations for his songs, CDs and choral resources.
In addition to his writing and recording, Don makes time to tour domestically and abroad and has performed with artists such as Chris Tomlin, Twila Paris, Sara Groves and Paul Baloche to name a few.
Don Moen came to Nigeria for the first time in 2006 for The Experience, Lagos. He welcomed his first grandson Luke Walter Moen on November 4, 2015. This earned him the moniker ‘grandfather of worship music’.
