We have cried, we have spoken out, we have complained, and we have protested. We have heard from government officials, (whether we believe them or not is not the case here) and we have heard from the media, both local and international.
However in our grief, anger and pain, let us not lose sight of what’s most important; hearing from GOD.
As Christians, we are a royal priesthood (1 Peter 2:9), the light of the world. (Matthew 5:14) we are the watchmen on the wall, charged with speaking the mind of God and drawing attention to his words.
At this critical time in our Nation, let us not get carried away and join in the cacophony of despair, and cries of frustration. let us lift our voices to God in one accord and seek his face on behalf of the missing girls, their families and the nation as a whole.
It is our Ministry to spread hope, and inspire faith through the word of God. As we get on our knees in our individual closets, this is the word of God concerning Nigeria:
Isaiah 41: 9 – 13
9 I have called you back from the ends of the earth,
saying, ‘You are my servant.’
For I have chosen you
and will not throw you away.
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
11 “See, all your angry enemies lie there,
confused and humiliated.
Anyone who opposes you will die
and come to nothing.
12 You will look in vain
for those who tried to conquer you.
Those who attack you
will come to nothing.
13 For I hold you by your right hand—
I, the Lord your God.
And I say to you,
‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.
Remember: “Those who believe him discover that God is a fountain of truth….” John 3:33a
