CHOCOLATE CITY PRESENTS NOSA’S DEBUT ALBUM “OPEN DOORS”
Rave of the moment and “Always Pray for You” star NOSA has been quite busy working on his debut album ‘Open Doors’. The album which fans across the globe have acclaimed as much anticipated is the first official collection of his body of work. (See tracklisting below)
Since wowing diverse audiences with his hit track “Always Pray For You” and going on to record success after success with other releases such as “Why You Love Me” and the recently released “Always On My Mind”, NOSA says the time is ripe to release his debut album to fans.
The album ‘Open Doors’ which touches on themes such as Love, Peace, and Togetherness was produced by NOSA.
Born in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, Nosa Shadrax Omoregie began his journey into the world of music at the young age of 7. As he grew, he tried his hands on writing rap lyrics and immersed himself in popular culture. As he grew, he became more aware of his talent but didn’t find a satisfying channel until he found his spirituality.
Joining the choir, rap was transformed into fluid melody and substance, and he soon began producing and composing musical pieces.
Nosa flourished; driven by his spirituality, his talent found its purpose in inspiring his audience with words of hope and promoting awareness to inspire change. Even as a devoted and full-time (Christian) Minister, his message has not changed.
His musical influences include Gospel singers like Fred Hammond, and the legendary R&B group, Boyz II Men. The years made him develop a love for Jazz and Soul music, but his primary musical influential roots remain Gospel and Afro-High- life.
Nosa is a favorite with various African music blogs, and his music has been likened several times to John Legend in style, sound and feel while comparisons with Asa have not gone amiss.
His most popular song, Always Pray for You, creatively super-imposed a soul tune on a Highlife production and Highlife / R&B flavored verses while maintaining a refreshing and soothing slant.
As a songwriter and composer, Nosa writes for major brands. His recently released single, “ALWAYS ON MY MIND” was one of the seven songs selected by telecoms giant MTN for their last Valentine’s Day promotion.
He is also working with Global mobile phone company NOKIA on a song “LOVE IS CALLING” that samples the popular NOKIA signature tune. The deal, which is worth thousands of dollars, will feature a music video to LOVE IS CALLING shot with the NOKIA Lumia 1520 and 1020.
Nosa is an alumnus of the University of Benin where he studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The official Launch of his debut album Open Doors, released under Chocolate City Music, will come up on the 14th of March 2014 at an evening with friends in the ministry and other partners of the NOSA brand.
