Deon Kipping a gospel artist, The 37-year-old Connecticut native, who has been singing since the young age of 9, has shared the stage with gospel greats: Kirk Franklin, Hezekiah Walker and Tye Tribbett. His ability to create touching melodies opened a door for Kipping to compose music for Marvin Sapp.
On January 18th, Kipping reveals that he has cancer. “The bad news is I’ve recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer, but the good news is God is my healer and I know He has it all under control,” said the somber-looking musician in a recorded video message.
On Tuesday, gospel stars William Murphy, Tasha Cobbs, JJ Hairston, Jonathan Nelson, Isaac Carree, Jason Nelson, VaShawn Mitchell, Gerald and Tammi Haddon, Zacardi Cortez and James Fortune came together for an event called “A Night Of Love” at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit church in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Together, they raised $25,000 to help Gospel singer and songwriter Deon Kippling to pay for his medical expenses in battling cancer.
