“Don’t Let Social Media Dehumanize You” | @kennykore

Kenny Kore a Nigerian Gospel Music Artiste, shared quite a number of questions today 14th 2017. Ranging from ‘How social media causes others to feel less of themselves‘ to ‘How much money is too much money‘, and  ‘How a rich believer should behave and dress‘.

Kenny known who is widely for sharing daily ‘food for thought’ through his Instagram page talked about the aspect of money, stating that the believers in those days shared everything they owned.

He went on to talk about dressing moderately, stating that we should avoid wearing clothes that will cause our fellow Christians to sin. He argued that just because we have the freedom to wear whatever we want does not necessarily mean that we should.

He also talked about the defects of social media on humans and that we should avoid posting things that would make our fellow Christians jealous. He encouraged Christians to stop being insensitive to the poor and avoid boasting about the things they have acquired.

The ‘so mo re’ Crooner had this to say:

#HowMuchMoneyIsEnoughMoney?  #HowDoYouValueWhoIsRichAndWhoIsPoor #HowShouldTheRichBelieverBehave?

“The believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they SHARED EVERYTHING they had.”-Acts 4:32. “For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love SERVE ONE ANOTHER.”-Galatians 5:13.”
“HowDoYouMeasureChristianModeracy?” Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother or sister to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause them to fall.”-1 Corinthians 8:13.

” Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as GOD’S slaves.”-1 Peter 2:16.

” You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”–but not everything is beneficial.”-1 Corinthians 10:23.

He continued by stating that:

What some Christians do on social media, does not build others up; it is a stumbling block when it makes your brother jealous, and covetous.

Do not rejoice that you live in a mansion, or have fleets of exotic cars, rather rejoice that you have the character of Christ.

In a country like Nigeria, where most people are suffering, true brethren, and true fathers would enjoy their portion in kind consideration of those lesser endowed;
The wanton profusion; the larger than life images the few amongst us are revelling in openly, is against the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Don’t let social media dehumanise you.

He who does not work must not eat…
Do not share, except it is from a cheerful and willing heart, but don’t be insensitive to the poor who Christ said would always be among us.

No matter your condition in life, you’re better than some people, and some people are better than you.
” So LET NO ONE BOAST IN MEN. For all things are yours,”-1 Corinthians 3:21.
