Elenee releases “Egypt”.
“Egypt” is a fresh spin on Miriam’s song in Exodus 15. The song envelopes a redemptive charisma that is emphasised throughout.
Elenee brought the concept to Amanda Kinner and Holly Salazar, two highly esteemed Christian music writers based in Nashville, and they ran with the idea of bringing a liberating hope out of a place of ashes and darkness. In the production, the warmth of the bass guitar and the lead vocal take the song through an exciting journey out of Egypt and into the Promised Land.

Lyrics
Chorus:
I’m coming out of Egypt
Walking out of this valley
I’m saying my farewell to
All that captivated me
I’m dancing in Your freedom
Singing of Your liberty
My eyes are on the promise land
On everything You have for me
Verse:
There’s a sound rising up from the ashes
There’s a cry from the depths of my heart
Praises are rising, breaking the chains apart
There’s a song I’m forever declaring
Rejoicing with all of my might
My foes are defeated right before my eyes
Bridge:
I’m looking ahead
I’m not turning back
I’ve seen the Lord
All that He has
I’m looking ahead
I’m not looking back
I’m looking ahead
I’m not looking back
Vamp:
I’m coming out of Egypt
Praising You across the Sea
Dancing in Your freedom
Singing of Your liberty x2
