Funke Taiwo popularly known as Ramael has over 29 years working experience both as a Consultant & a Management Staff in Great Nigeria Insurance Plc. Hadur Travel & Tours Limited was she set up after retiring as Head of Marketing. A seasoned traveler, whose background includes both corporate and private tours of which the most frequent is making annual pilgrimages to Israel for about 20 years.
She speaks basic Hebrew language and is quite familiar with the customs and traditions of the people of Israel. ng as a Tour Operator is quite a familiar ground to her.
While at Great Nigeria Insurance Plc, her schedule was mainly Pension Scheme Administration and Marketing in which she excelled by dedication & hard work. This resulted in the growth of the company’s client base and subsequent development of deep customer relationship with the clients.
She was in charge of designing plans suitable to the needs of retirees, servicing and maintaining existing private pension schemes. For some of these clients she maintained a long term relationship they include Femstar Nigeria Ltd, Air France, Total Nigeria Plc, EIF Petroleum, Olusola Adekanola & Co. among many other large corporate firms from diverse backgrounds.
She thus brings in her wealth of experience and skills gained over the years into the development and growth of Hadur Travels has since oversee the daily affairs of the firm and is assisted by other qualified staff. The name “Hadur” was coined from her daughter’s name- “Hadarel” which means “Praise.”

INSPIRATION
The inspiration to start Hadur Travels came as a result of my regular Pilgrimage trips to Israel and after retiring from Great Nigeria Insurance Company where I worked for 25 years I was implored to organize a Pilgrimage for some set of people to Israel. From there, the idea of organizing and packaging Tours was born.

“We do check up on our clients who have attended one or more of our agro-study tours to Israel, Songhai in Benin Republic or any other place. We also package Study Tours too. So as we prepare for our next round of study tours in August 10 – 14, 2014 to Songhai and Israel on the 14th – 21st September respectively, we checked up on some of our past agro-tourists to find out how well they have implemented what they learnt during the tours…..
Kingsley Edemi works with an oil company, owns an importation business and a farm business centre in Mosagar, Delta state. He says:
“My journey to Songhai, Benin Republic has been a great and supporting milestone in my present day achievement. After my return to Warri, Delta state from Songhai I started my own Farm and named the company Memekings Farm which is situated at an area close to Sapele town name ‘Mosogar”.
I got a large expanse of land and presently I have six solid fish ponds which were built by some of the Songhai experts. I have almost completed the building for the piggery and I hope to start pig farming by July ending. I have several crops such as cucumber, lettuce, onion, pepper, cabbage, sweet corn, pumpkin leaves, waterleaf, water melon, tomato, okra and carrots. I have also harvested my first cucumber and they were cool.”
