Day 2 of Praiseworld Radio’s Faith Hope Love Conference 2021 got even deeper with media personality The Delphinator teaching on Faith.
Her topic, Faith 101 took us back to the basics of faith; what faith is and what faith is not.
In Delphinator’s refined version, faith is “the titled deed of possession of what is expected. Proof, demonstration or persuasion of what your physical senses can’t experience”. Faith without the substance, which is God’s spoken word, His promise, is useless.
She shared 8 points on what faith is backing them up with practical examples and biblical facts. The last point was that your faith will always be tested just like God did to Abraham.
However, just as the bible quotes ‘count it all joy when you go through diverse trials’, Delphinator reminds us that “God gives rewards, and when you pass the tests you will be rewarded. God does not owe. You might not see the fruit of the obedience now but later you will see it.
Enjoy the fire, count it all joy because there is a reward. The Lord was with Joseph the whole time during the trials and he didn’t complain”.
How to know when you are not acting in faith? We also learnt 5 practical ways that were expatiated;
“Faith is not a feeling”
“Faith is not a tool to get what we want”
“Faith is not the absence of fear”
“Faith is a choice not by chance”
“Faith is not manipulating God”
We need to go back to the basics from time to time to review our knowledge and unlearn the wrong knowledge we have acquired through times.
Faith is an aspect of the Christian race that has to be understood correctly so the devil does not take advantage of our ignorance. In essence, faith is believing and obedience to God’s word and just as Christ said at the cross, not my will but thy will be done, this is undiluted faith!
