The maiden edition of Gospelite Music Awards Kaduna 2013 (GomAwards) took place on Sunday 1st December, 2013 at International Praise Cathedral (Praise Chapel), Constitution Rd, Kaduna State.
In the opening remark, the Team Leader (GomAwards) TOKKIDA SEMLEK was overwhelmed and full of glorification to God for making the event a reality and success. He also, thanked all those who supported and contributed in one way or the other to make the event a reality.
GomAwards promises to be an anual event.
GomAwards was well attended by the cream de la-cream of Gospel music in Kaduna state and beyond including, David Praise ( Winner, Most Creative Artiste 2009 at the 1st National Gospel Awards).
Also in attendance was JD Luka (Team Leader, Jos Gospel Art and Music Awards (JOGAMA), Dr Babs Dominion, Estee, Uncle T, Minister Sam, and many more.
Ashafa Waziri (Senior Special Adviser to Kaduna State Governor on ICT) and Mrs Dorathy Gambo ( Territory Sales Manager, Airtel Nigeria) were at the event. Pastors were filled up at the event.
The media ( X2D, AIT Kaduna, Raypower Kaduna, KSMC, VOOC Magazine, Chronicle Magazine, Xtratime tv, Da kingdomxploit tv etc) and top rate on-air Personalities ( Adams P, E-Mac, Silas Wonder, Elizabeth Anche, Gideon and Silas Jamaa) and many more, were their to support and cheer their nominated colleagues and stations.
The attendance was awesome. The event featured ministrations by Newbreed, Nomad, Dben, Lulu, Oj Wyte, Emye Fortress, Minister Sam, The Kings Family Worship Team and Peculiar Crew.
Special Recognition Awards was given to Rev Shola Adesoye, Pst Ralph B. Julius, Soluv Entertaiment, and Discman Musicbox. Bishop Fred Addo and Pst Chris Delvan Gwamna were given Lifetime Achievement Awards and Late Zion Jaye Kale Oladapo Sunday (1968-1999) Posthumous Awards.
