After two days of divine insights and knowledge on the dimensions and meanings of faith, it keeps getting better, and we keep moving higher!
We entered into the second element of our conference; HOPE on Day 3 with Pastor and Minister Nosa who took us through a quantum level of understanding hope, rekindling of a new desire in the body of Christ for what matters, and reprioritizing our hopes.
We often find ourselves feeling discouraged and disappointed in certain situations especially if our expectations or desires are not going the way we want. These disappointments cause our hopes to shake. When our hope quivers, our faith follows suit because hope is the pillar of our faith, hence they are intertwined.
This brings us to a very important faith evaluation and question; What are you chasing after? What is your hope tied on? Is it the eternal or the by-products of the external?
In Minister Nosa’s words; It’s amazing how we often put Jesus at the centre as the “means” or the “source” and not the “end” due to the several reasons the end means to us. We also tend to base our hope on the by-products of the kingdom and not the kingdom itself forgetting that God’s kingdom is the actual reward we should seek.
When you seek the Kingdom, the by-products of the kingdom chases after you. We cannot show God to the world by using products that are not even up to fragments of what the kingdom of God entails.
Your faith and hope are founded on perseverance and your belief in God’s unfailing nature. When you hold on to His promises, you hold on to God himself, so your hope should not weaver when you seek the eternal.
When your desires do not give room for Christ in you, it falls short of hope. The very moment we begin to walk in righteousness we start to live in hope. We need to be rooted in God to be “fruited”, the root allows for the tree to gain nutrients needed to produce fruits.
In this prolific teaching, we are advised to focus on the reason for our worship, prayers, medications, and fellowship; God, who is our anchor, just like our fathers in faith Abraham and Moses did. God gives gifts as He decides, but as fruits, we must grow and we must also love to give hope.
Your joy is not a journey but a destination. When your ship is in a storm, remember who anchors your ship.
Who’s ready to get rooted in the eternal?!
