The Green Worship concert will be happening live today!!!! with 13 Gospel music artistes ready to pour out their all on 1 stage. Earlier today, TOLA A.K.A ‘spice On the mic‘ had a phone interview with Wale Adenuga the convener of today’s event.
The interview happened on Praiseworld Radio’s breakfast show The Praise O’Clock Show. During the interview, Pastor Wale Adenuga shared the inspiration behind the color Green, stating that it represents the colors of Nigeria and it is being done for the progress of the nation
” We are doing a live recording with 13 artists! So basically we are trying to do an offering of worship for Nigeria being that Nigeria’s color is ‘Green white Green’. Beyond this we intend to take Green Worship Global.”
He went on to announce that the profits that comes from the live recording concert will go strait to 5 different charities.
“The concert is an initiative of worship for change. All the proceeds that come out from the live recording concert will be given to five different charities.
All the artists are ministering for free and would not be taking any royalties from the album, we would be supporting orphans and generally those in need. The color ‘Green’ also represents bringing forth a refreshing for the orphans and those who have special needs“
When asked about the factors used in picking out the 13 artistes for the green concert, he stated that the artistes are a mixture of the old and new.
“It is not a first and last event but it will become an annual event . Next year would feature new set of artists”
Talking about his expectations for the event he simply stated that he has been praying for the Spirit of God to be made manifest.
“My own expectations are tied to the prayers i have been praying and that’s for God’s spirit to be made manifest and a high energy and worship energy that would be a blessing to people all over the world”
