Young Nigerian poet, and singer, Ire Toluhi kicks off her amazing music career with this debut single titled “My Offering” produced by Dee Yasso.
Ire Toluhi is an 18 year old singer, poet, and songwriter based in Abuja, Nigeria who started off an Instagram cover artist for about two years before putting heart and soul into music and was nominated for the Nigerian Teen Choice Award during that period.
Her aim is to give hope about Christ and spread the Gospel of Jesus to both believers and unbelievers through music and poetry.
She says “The fact that the world is in a state of clamor gives me things to write about because I know the solution is Jesus Christ.”
She also added that “This song was written at 3 different periods last year, and each verse was spontaneous. It came into being because of the realization that I do not own myself, and the only way to live as Jesus wants is to first get rid of my old, sinful flesh which is susceptible to ruin (explanation of the first line of My Offering).”
Ire Toluhi was homeschooled, and musically influenced by her older brother; Tolu Toluhi, Morgan Harper Nichols, Nathaniel Bassey, Ify Benson, Hymns, Jamie Grace, TY Bello, Brooke Fraser, Lacey Sturm, Flyleaf, Tenth Avenue North, and Travis Greene.
