West African Idol top 10 finalist, Joan Ekpai is back with a bang. The Singer/Songwriter brings a refreshing feel to the Nigerian Music scene with her new Single “ETOMA aka What is it?”, sequel to her earlier released singles Lighter’s Up (Produced by Cobhams Asuquo) and Hero from her upcoming debut album.
Etoma is brought to life with its soft-rock feel laced with African drums, soaked in Joan’s infectious vocals, masterfully produced by Cold Flames.
Joan switches fluidly from English to her ethnic Bahumono and Legbo languages of Cross River State.
In her words;
“Dedicated to my motherland, to my state, Cross River, And to my blessed father land-Nigeria and to every man, woman, child, boy and girl who makes up the population of this sovereign state.
Though hit and tossed from every corner by the so cold unknown forces, we are stronger than ever before because we are champions. The blood of our loved ones who have passed on innocently is all over the land screaming to the living to fear absolutely nothing.
Though we be little and a few, greater is He, the King and Lord who is in Nigeria than he who is in them who only pry and hide in the dark.
