If there is a lady that has captured gospel rap music in a most captivating manner, it’s no other but the artiste, song writer, and mother of two who is determined to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through her music. JOY formerly called Liyia first discovered her talent for singing in the year 2003 while still in high school. 2005 led her into developing interest for packaging her rap music and by 2006 she was already performing with notable artistes in the Nigerian music industry.That same year she joined a rap group called ”R.C (Rap Community) founded by former most beautiful girl in Nigeria and Rapper ‘‘Munachi Abii”.
She is the only girl from a family of six(6),grew up in the city of Benin, Edo state, Nigeria. where she attended her primary and secondary school in lgbinedion Education Centre before obtaining a degree in mass communications from Benson ldahosa University .
In 2012, while serving as a national youth service corp member (N.Y.S.C) in Lagos. Joy, Pryse and Sugarboi’z WizzyWee performed a remix of Eva’s song in camp during Mtn PROJECT FAME SHOW in iyana-paja. The sensational rapper went on to partake in a Rap competition organized by NOUN FM 105.9 where she emerge the winner of MIC ON FIRE Season One.
She has hit singles ranging from “No Senrenre”, “Keep Watch”, “Joy”, “Victory”, “Jesus Is Living In Me”, God of Miracles, Unconditional love, and her latest Single “KURONBE JOR”…an eclectic piece of highly engaging elements that gets the whole audience drenched with the Spirit Of Dance In Praise.
In 2013/2014 God divinely orchestrated her meeting with her Spiritual Father, Mentor and Guardian ; The Chief Responsibility officer of Christian Talents Community Obus Bezalee Brodoh which has resulted to a transformational growth in her Rap gift not deviating from the core of her purpose.
And by 2015 The Cute Gospel Lyricist joined John 3:16 Christian Center and Body and Soul X-ray (BSX) the relationship platform and magazine which helps both the Singles and the Married in building right relationships.
This great missions is headed by God’s Anointed servants Pastor Mrs Ebun Adeoye Brodoh and Obus Zalee Brodoh who have been more than just my Spiritual parents, they have consistently pushed and encourage her life’s career, music and ministry. She is married to Mr Oviawe and They Live Together with their two kids Joseph and Josephine in Lagos.
