Here’s what he has to say about the song…

You and I are God’s investment and He expects us to bear fruits. He has powerfully loaded us with His benefits and He does that on a daily basis. What are you doing with those benefits? As God’s investment, are you productive or unproductive? Are you maximizing your God-given talents and potentials? Are you bearing fruits or are you just cumbering the ground and occupying space for nothing? Can your reason for existing be justified or you are like a vacuum filling no space in planet earth? If God were to appraise you today, will you come out excellently?
God is asking you through this song, “Wetin you dey do with your talents”?

Men have substitutes, but God has no substitute. God can substitute men, but men cannot substitute God. If He has given you an assignment to do or some talents to use or some potential to maximize and you are not yielding, He can substitute you and yet He remains Unchangeable, Unshakeable and Immovable. He can never be substituted. No one enthrones Him and none can dethrone Him. He remains God!

If He has given you an assignment, the assignment cannot be stranded. It will be carried out with or without you. He can use a horse to deliver a message if no one is available like the case of Balaam. He can raise stones to praise Him if men refuse to praise Him.

King David was a substitute for King Saul. Esther was a substitute for Vashti. In the “Parable of Talent” the only talent with the man who refused to use his talent was taken away and given to the man who already had ten talents.

My prayer is that you and I will never be substituted in Jesus’ name. I also pray that our talents will not be taken away in Jesus’ name. Amen
