From Malawi comes Lawi with two smashing singles titled “Amaona Kuchedwa” and “The Whistling Song”. ‘Amaona Kuchedwa” is a song is based on Isaiah 40:31. “Those that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength”. It encourages believers not to give in to impatience.

This is one of those tunes that will take you down through memory lane. He tells a story of his grandfather singing a song, and of course the melodious sound of the whistling. One word best describes this song – BEAUTIFUL!

ABOUT LAWI
Born and raised in Blantyre Malawi, Lawi comes from a family of four, two brothers and one sister. He started engaging in music at a very young age, he remembers playing guitar in church and pianos for the praise team at his local church then Nkolokosa assemblies of God and his spiritual father was Bishop Andrew Dube.
He has since done production work with some of the local and international producers and musicians like David Kalilani, Q Malewezi, Faith Mussa, Peter Mawanga, K.B.G., just to mention a few.
He has self produced his self titled upcoming album ‘Lawi’ and this is where you know that the guy is just multi talented. The album is due for release on December 15th.
