Motown Gospel announced the signing of singer/actress/comedian and media personality Lexi to their roster. Lexi will begin work immediately on her next Gospel album after a five year hiatus.
“For as long as I can remember, there has been a few things that has remained at the center of my life— God, family, music & laughter,” shared Lexi. “Motown Gospel and I agree that it is time to re-focus on the music. I’m encouraged and motivated and I’m anticipating great things with such an amazing team at Motown Gospel”.
About Lexi Allen
Alexis “Lexi” Marie Nucklos Allen (born October 2, 1967) was born in Columbus, Ohio and grew up singing in her grandfather’s church. She is the only child of physician Dr. Ruby Nucklos. Lexi was educated at Bowsher High School in Toledo and then at Bowling Green State University, where she majored in communications.
Lexi’s husband, the music producer Michael Allen, helped with many aspects of her musical career. She got a Stellar Gospel Music Award nomination for her album – A Praise in the Valley which was released in 2004. Shortly afterwards, she lost her husband, Michael to cancer.
Lexi is featured regularly on The Yolanda Adams Morning Show with the segment “Inside Inspiration with Lexi“. She has a YouTube channel, where she has created comedic videos that deals with subjects relating to church culture, African-American culture, and parodies of well-known TV shows. Alongside this, She runs a business selling hair extensions.

Lexi has a son, Michael Alexander Osaze Allen, by her late husband Michael.
