“It is Christmas in the heart that puts Christmas in the air.” — W.T. Ellis
The story of Christ’s birth has gone way beyond “man” intended.
The child in the manger…The shining star…The carpenter…The virgin… Wise men… Shepherds and all who witnessed His birth.
Man thought it would all end in that little town of Bethlehem. Worst case? It would remain within Judea’s walls.
I have witnessed that precious things are not birthed in the open, most acclaimed places, but in the backside, private and chilliest places.
Christ was born with the least of all witnesses, in a manger for the least of creatures to behold His beauty, yet His light shone brighter, drawing the world to Himself.
Jesus, heralded by a Star, proclaimed by Angels, announced by Shepherds, given by the Father…
Down the lane, the child in the manger has become the King of my heart… For all eternity, I am a witness that He is God’s brightness, God’s most cherished gift, hidden in the world’s least places.
It’s not about the gifts of Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, but when God has a plan, all of these find their place in our lives.
The essence of God in the flesh; a life of holiness and righteousness; the suffering, trials, tribulations, afflictions of yielding to a life totally sold out to God, and the Glory embedded therein.
I am a witness to the Father pouring out all of Himself into me, His priority and that’s why He would go any length to secure our shining star for all eternity.
Eternity witnessed His birth in the manger, eternity witnessed His death on the cross. Eternity has been planted in my heart, yet I have no understanding of eternity.
In all of the chaos going on in “Herod’s city”, I have witnessed peace in David’s city through the birth of the King of glory.
Even evil witnessed light and guess what? It couldn’t stand it. Darkness tried all it could to penetrate through light, destroying a lot in the process as Herod demanded that all first born sons be destroyed in his quest to finding the Messiah. Little did he know that darkness and light has nothing in common.
I am a witness that light, no matter how hidden, even if it’s in the most bizarre of places, like the chilliest manger will attract more light and shine for the world to see.
Yet, we wonder, can’t men see what I’m made of?
I’m a witness though that only those who have insight into your ministry will see your light and follow it. If they happen to be as blind as Herod, nothing you do will make them see.
Don’t stop being the light anyways… As a sage once said, I dare you to be different. I dare you to take back light into the darkness in your family.
We all are witnesses to Christ’s birth because only the existence of a mediator could warrant our Father withstanding all of our flaws and weaknesses.
Only the intervention of an intercessor could guarantee us this amazing Grace we so enjoy.
Do you doubt that Christ is?
We are all witnesses to all the little lights hidden in the mangers, yet causing so much change in this dark and evil world.
The few good people left, who have vowed to care and to love and to be the truth even in this world that’s dominated with so much hate and deceit.
Can we find our path to the city of peace? In all of the issues surrounding you, can you secretly find your path to the shining star? Jesus is leading, are you following?
We have read the end of the book enough to know that we, the few faithfuls left won.
In the end, light wins. Problem is, is that you?
Be my witness…
Let Christ’s Love so shine in this cold manger of a world we now reside in.
We look up and see no star, and so we think all of Christmas ended in that little town many years ago. You were a witness, hidden behind the star at His birth, beneath the crowd at His death.
You are that shining star that witnessed Christ’s birth and He keeps leading the world to you.
So why do we keep treading the path of this cold world?
I am still in this world to make a difference.
I witnessed the humblest family birth the King. A carpenter, his virgin wife, the world’s miracle, not from the richest, but from the humblest of all.
Find Christ in all of Christmas and be Merry!!!
