Mark Zuckerberg Launches Campaign Against ‘Revenge Porn’

Facebook in its bid to protect the privacy of its users has announced its move to launch a fight against such acts.

Mark Zuckerberg on Wednesday launched a campaign against ‘revenge porn’. Revenge porn is any intimate photo shared without permission.

The latest development was made known by the CEO of the company, Mark Zuckerberg via his social media page on Facebook where he revealed that the social media platforms, Facebook and Instagram will be getting new tools to prevent the sharing of revenge porn on the social networking sites.

Mark Zuckerberg on his Facebook page wrote:

“We’re focused on building a community that keeps people safe. That means building technology and AI tools to prevent harm. Today we’re rolling out new tools to prevent “revenge porn” from being shared on Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. Revenge porn is any intimate photo shared without permission.

It’s wrong, it’s hurtful, and if you report it to us, we will now use AI and image recognition to prevent it from being shared across all of our platforms.”
