Popular American gospel artiste Marvin Sapp, last week celebrated 25 years of music ministry and 10 years of Church ministry in a 5 day Life Conference that took place at Lighthouse Church Worship Campus, 2415 Madison Ave. SE on September 25-29, 2013.
Sapp, a Grand Rapids native, said he began preaching at age 21 – even before officially beginning a career in music as a member of the gospel group Commissioned and then as a solo artist.
Marvin L. Sapp and his Lighthouse Full Life Center Church congregation celebrated its 10th anniversary – and the 25th year of ministry for Marvin Sapp in his preaching and gospel music career.
Speaking ahead of the celebrations which took place last week, the 46 year-old said the anniversary celebrations is an opportunity to go back and reflect on what God has done over the years.
Earlier this month, the Church purchased a 17-acre property belonging to Grand Rapids Catholic Diocese with an eye toward development of a public charter school on the site.
Top notch pastors invited for the anniversary conference included Bishop Noel Jones, Marvin Winans, Bishop Paul Morton, amongst others.
