“Let Go” is a collaboration with London, UK-based musician and producer, Manlikewills. True peace comes from surrendering our plans, expectations, disappointments, and victories to Jesus. “Let Go” is an anthem of surrender. It was written during the pandemic of 2020 and serves as a way of looking life’s challenges in the face and trusting the will of the Lord.

LYRICS:
Verse 1
Why should I tell the lie and wear the smile
Like I wasn’t hurt by those that I let in?
It left me paralyzed and terrified
I believed that I would never run again
How could these feet of mine stay tethered to the ground
When I was born to find my freedom in the clouds?
It felt like every time I’d try to fly
These wings of mine refused to catch the wind
Chorus 1
‘Til you told me to let go
And trust the Lord with my soul
If only I would let go
And trust the Lord with my soul
With my soul
Verse 2
See God, I’m trying to love and go beyond
‘Cuz I hope to call my enemies my friends
But could this broken heart let down the walls
Or open up to anyone again?
I hear you say to me, “My child, what you afraid of?
This pain you’re walking through is what miracles are made of
So I won’t let your burdens keep you in the grave
Your life begins today”
Chorus 2
‘Cause You taught me to let go
And trust the Lord with my soul
I’m learning how to let go
And trust the Lord with my soul
With my soul
Bridge
Even when my heart grows weary
I know that you are always with me
My strength is in You
My strength is in You
As surely as the sun gives light, ehh
I know you’ll never leave my side, ehh
I Iean on you
I’m leaning on you
Ending
It is well, it is well
With my soul, ohh
It is well
It is well
With my soul, my soul, my soul
With my soul, my soul, my soul
