Michelle Williams, of the popular American music trio Destiny’s Child has released the first single off her upcoming EP, her forth studio effort. The jazz-sounding song titled ‘If We Had You Eyes’ shares her desire to have the omnipresent vision of a higher power.
“If we had Your eyes, we’d see things right // If we could just see from Your point of view // Then most things won’t be as they seem” she passionately sings on the tune, from her album which she has described as ‘urban inspirational’.
‘If we had your eyes’ is sampled from a Lenny Williams track, and was produced by Harmony Samuels.
In her last project Unexpected, Michelle Williams seemed to abandon her gospel roots for more of a dance-pop sound. Even though it spawned two Top 10 Billboard Dance hits, it was deemed an overall flop, moving only 34,000 units domestically.
The new album reveals the singer might be returning to worshiping God but with a dance-friendly beat.
Michelle is currently preparing for her upcoming E! reality show, My Sister’s Keeper premiering this summer.
