Mike Aremu A.K.A. King Mike Aremu is out with a hit new song ‘TOTORI – The Name of Jesus’, in collaboration with Victor Thompson.
‘Totori’ is a Pidgin English word that means to tickle, excite or arouse. “That is what the name Jesus does to me” says Mike.
The song is a mid-tempo infusion of Afrobeat and Jazz with Mike’s unique voice and signature sound of the tenor sax. Graced by the sonorous voice of Victor Thompson the “This Year” crooner.
Totori was produced by King Mike himself with contributions from Michael Oyo, White Block and Tbabz. Mixed/Mastered @ Mixsurgery Sound Lab UK by Lifted Omlamb. Other credits include guitar by Segzmonte and bass by Dolapo Ikusika
Mike Aremu is one of the front runners of world-class saxophone players whose music transends class, age and race, but what sets this distinguished musician apart is his ability to draw from tradational Nigerian sounds to create sounds that represent both his creative passion and his culture.
