Then you will learn to know GOD’S will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” -Romans 12:2. “Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you.” – 1 John 2:15.
“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes.” – Ephesians 4:23.
Those of us who have been programmed to value only the material, would need a lot of PATIENCE. Our GOD is Spirit. HIS seal on the believer is the Holy Spirit.
It follows that the work HE wants to do in us is not paramountly physical, but spiritual. “So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” – James 1:4.
YOU DON’T DEVELOP SPIRITUAL CAPACITY WHILE INDULGING IN CARNALITY.
The reason why Satan often lavishes material things, money, expensive toys etc on the carnally minded is because he wants to bait them away from the spiritual, and dump them down into the murky waters of the mundane.
The more we understand, and appreciate the spiritual, the less control Satan has over us.
Alas, the gospel of financial prosperity is the global rave.
