It seems as if more money would solve a whole lot of our problems. But, we often forget that wealth can create a lot of problems as well;
” The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.”- PRIDE, and self conceit is pervasive among the wealthy; by default the rich think they’re better than the poor, but that is so far from the truth.-Proverbs 28:11.
And while scriptures say we should in humility VALUE OTHERS ABOVE ourselves, the rich man can’t do so, for the obvious reason of his wealth.-Philippians 2:3.
Rich people have a tendency to forget GOD;
“But the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.”-Mark 4:19. “As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And being satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me (GOD).”- Hosea 13:6 “He who trusts in his riches will fall, But the righteous will flourish like the green leaf.”- Proverbs 11:28. “Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the UNCERTAINTY OF RICHES, but on GOD, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy.”- 1 Timothy 6:17. “If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.”- 1 Timothy 6:8-9.
There’s a evil amongst the rich i also found; wealthy people, currying favours from themselves, would rather give to fellow rich person than to the poor.
” Jesus said to him, “If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and GIVE TO THE POOR, and you will have treasure in Heaven; and come, follow Me.” Prosperity preachers pretend as if Proverbs 23:4 is not in the Bible,”Do not toil to acquire wealth; be discerning enough to desist.” You don’t want to be rich in this life, and be poor where it mattered most like the rich man in Lazarus’ parable found out.
