Meheytab’el’s dream as a teenager growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, was to become a singer/photographer/ linguist. This not unexpectedly was not the case as she went on to study medicine and eventually relocated to the United States, where she still practices medicine to date. However, she did not allow her profession to take her away from music and has sung in many church bands and choirs over the years and avidly supported the music community in her local city Minneapolis, Minnesota. Early last year, the yearning to fulfill her dream started to grow stronger. A year ago, She decided that she would release a body of work for her birthday, which led to her first single, “I Am She,” following in the steps of publishing her book “The Voice Of One Woman.” Her latest single, “MO SE B’ÓLÁ TÁN,” a song close to her heart because it was birthed from a place of gratitude after God spoke to encourage her heart while in a dark place, was released on the 14h of February 2021. Her prayer is that this song will reach every heart that listens to it to encourage, revive, strengthen, and fortify them. That it will affirm their faith in God, who can and is willing to answer prayers and who makes all things beautiful in its time.
Meheytab’el is now not only a doctor, but she is also a singer/songwriter, a writer, inspirational speaker, and proof that if you put your mind to it, with God’s help, you can do everything your heart desires.
