FRETLESS JOEL, born as Olubunmi
Joel hails from Ekiti State in Nigeria. He was born four decades ago into the family of Mr and Mrs OLUBUNMI. His father, who is a song writer, composer, guitarist and his mother a strong soprano vocalist.
Though he read civil engineering at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, he couldn’t just let go of music which was and still is his first love and perhaps the one thing he is so passionate about.
His deep love for music has made earn a good number of certificates from very notable Music institutions around the world.
He runs a music band called Fretless Band. Very notable at events and functions both in and out of the Nigeria.
With them, there’s no dull moment.
His experience as a music instructor spans over twenty years teaching music theory and practical at pre-school and primary school level, he derives great pleasure in directing children choir one of which is the TREM Children mass choir that has over 700 children from TREM branches in Lagos zones and has made tremendous impact over the years.
OLUBUNMI JOEL aka FRETLESS is presently a Praise worship leader at the The Redeemed Evangelical Mission TREM International Headquarters with the prestigious Award winning Evangel Voice. He is married to Abiodun Olubunmi and has two lovely kids Daniel and Estee.
