Pius Ikemefuna, Pius O releases a new track titled, The Lord is Here. Born Onichabor Pius Ikemefuna, “Pius O” is a Nigerian Gospel recording artist and a preacher of the word of GOD. A native of Delta State, he grew up in Lagos. He grew in a family of ardent music lovers and sings in the Church Choir. Pius O honed his musical ears at a young age while listening to different genres of gospel music.
Inspiring contemporary artistes like John P. Kee, Donnie McClurkin, Smokie Norful, Marvin Sapp, Fred Hammond, Samsong, Vitus Ezeh and Sammie Okposo were some of the artiste’s early influences. His music is influenced by all gospel genre of music.
He read Business Administration from Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) and bags Diploma (Pastoral Ministry Α̲̅πϑ Evangelism) in Theology from GOD’s Army Bible College, Lagos State, Nigeria. He is undoubtedly an anointed singer and a prolific writer with a golden voice that can set ablaze the kingdom of darkness and bless humanity. He is the bi-annual host of “Pius O. & Friends Praise Uncensored Concert.” A praise gathering which reaches out to different audiences. He’s been singing for over a decade now. And has been privileged to have worked with great gospel minister like Min. Vitus Ezeh.
He is presently the “Music Director” of De’ LPV Choir of TREM Kings’ Centre, Ketu, Lagos. He was the 1st Runner for the “Project Nu Wine Competition 2013” organized by TREM in honour of the Presiding Bishop’s birthday. He is one of Bishop Mike Okonkwo’s psalmist.
