NBA Houston-Rockets guard, Jeremy Lin, has publicly professed his faith in Jesus to his fans. This incident occurred recently when the 24 year-old took time to appreciate his fans during an event tagged Fan Appreciation Week, where Lin took to Facebook to answer questions from fans.
One fan asked what Jesus meant to him, and Jeremy Lin did not hesitate to share his faith as he responded saying Jesus meant everything and without Jesus, he (Lin) wouldn’t have a purpose in life.
He also told fans he was currently reading The Discipline of Grace by Jerry Bridges and his favourite verse in The Bible is Philippians 4:7 which says: “And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”
Jeremy Lin rose to prominence in 2012 when he managed to score 25 points and lead the New York team to a 7-game winning streak. The guard became the first player in NBA history to put up numbers of at least 20 points and seven assists in each of his first four starting games, causing sports pundits, celebrities and fans to name him and the phenomenon “Linsanity.”
