Nigerian Soul Singer, Nikki Laoye is on the cover of the latest edition of Extra Mile Africa – “the Voice of People with Disabilities (PWDs)”.
The inspirational magazine focuses on Nikki’s inspiring works under the auspices of her foundation, Angel 4 Life Foundation as she shares about the “International White Cane Day” for the Blind, which she helped organise with the Nigerian Association of the Blind (Lagos Chapter) as well as other community development projects aimed at the visually impaired and physically challenged youths in Lagos State.
The edition also covers projects by Mrs Dotun Akande (founder of Patrick Speech and Language Centre) and the inspiring physically challenged Miss Wheelchair of Kogi State, Princess Olubukayo Adegboye, who despite her disabilities, also provides developmental projects for PWDs.
Chris Ikemefuna Obanye, the magazine’s Publisher/Editor-in-Chief, who is also physically challenged himself, created the magazine four years ago to project the achievements and challenges of persons with disabilities as well as the celebration of individuals and companies providing support & assistance for PWDs.
With the Motto: ONLY YOU CAN STOP YOURSELF, the Magazine also creates a platform to inform the public on the needs and challenges of PWDs as well as celebrate the lives of PWDs like Cobhams Asuquo, Steve Wonder, Yinka Ayefele etc. who have reached the zenith of their respective career as celebrities of national and international repute, irrespective of their physical challenges.
