Dateline Thursday May 16, 2013 witnessed a major milestone in the annals of the Women Wing of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) with the inauguration of a new National Chairperson, Rev Mrs Abiola Theodora OMOBUDE, wife of the new National President and General Superintendent, New Covenant Gospel Church, Rev Dr Felix Omobude.
The Inauguration Service was held at His Glory headquarters of New Covenant Gospel Church and was officiated by the former Chairperson, Rev Mrs Helen Oritsejafor, wife of the current President of Christian Association of Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor. Other dignitaries present at the occasion include the President of PFN himself, Rev Felix Omobude, Chairman of PFN Edo State, Bishop Oyonnude Kure, Rev Mrs Margaret Agbonifo, rep of Rev Mrs Mercy Ezekiel and government officials led by Deaconess Odubu, wife of the Deputy Governor of Edo State. Chairpersons of PFN Women Wing from the 36states were represented as well.
It would be recalled that Rev Dr Felix Omobude was elected for a 3yr tenure as National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria after the biennial conference at Uyo in February taking over from Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor who was reelected recently as National President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the umbrella body of all Christians in Nigeria.
