Prayers and well wishes have been trooping in since the news broke out last Sunday 25th June. The ‘House On The Rock’ cathedral was said to have been gutted with fire and the members have taken to their social media handles to send forth prayers and support to the Founder of the church; Pastor Paul Adefarasin.
Music producer and member; Wilson Joel popularly known as Music Magnate was one of many who took to their Instagram handles to express their grief. He announced that despite the pain, he will continue to stay strong in God’s goodness. He then went on to encourage his followers to repost in order to let the world know that no matter the circumstances they will always stand with their Leader.

In turn a whole number of people responded to the call and began to repost and also send forth prayers to their beloved pastor and for the Church as a whole.
The fire broke out at the Abuja Church. Men of the fire service were able to successfully put out the fire after a while.
A member of the Church, Mr. Joseph Peter, had stated that the main building had not been in use for a while now as renovation work was on-going.
Opetunsin Julius, Acting Comptroller of Federal Fire Service in Abuja, stated that firefighters put in serious efforts to bring the situation under control. But as at 7:04 p.m the the fire was yet to be fully contained.
“Our officials arrived at the scene around 2:40 p.m. shortly after receiving an emergency call,”
The official also stated that the fire caused a major destruction to the building, and church workers have been advised to stay away from the premises in the interim. He also said the Federal Fire Service will investigate the incident if asked to do so by the church.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
