About S.A.M
S.A.M (real name Salami Ayomide Matthew) is a Contemporary Gospel Rapper and a student of Landmark University, studying Mechanical Engineering.
He started rapping at the age of 9 due to a passion and love of music. Although he didn’t really pay attention to it, till later when he was 13 years old and started rapping with his friends.
At this point he was more gospel inclined, listening to songs by gospel artists like Lecrae, Trip Lee, Andy Mineo and so on. He even performed some of their songs in front of small audiences and crowds like his classmates.
He didn’t start writing his own original verses and songs until he got into university at the age of 15. Since then he has released some singles on Souncloud and Audiomack and performed them in his church and school.
S.A.M is inspired by God and the lives that he blesses through his music.
Some of his singles include Grace remix, Holy Trap, Blessed, Kamikaze, Litt and so on.
Although some of his singles are not technically “gospel”, he always glorifies God in his songs and doesn’t use explicit lyrics, they are safe songs in which a Christian can comfortably listen to without questioning if it affects his/her faith adversely.
