This year’s edition of Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) took place in New York yesterday, September 1 and Sammie Okposo went home with the award for the only Gospel award category – Gospel Artiste/Group Of The Year.
Also nominated in the category were Frank Edwards, Onos, Monique, Funke Akinokun, and BOUQUI.
Sammie is currently in the US for his Praise Party concert that will see a number of gospel artistes from Nigeria celebrate with him.
The Multiple award-winning singer and Glo Ambassador, Sammie Okposo, is currently in the United States as he prepares to host the Praise Party LIVE concert this summer with some of Nigeria’s finest artistes.
Tagged ‘Sammie Okposo Praise Party Live’, the concert is scheduled to hold in New York, Atlanta and Maryland. Nigerian singers already on the line up are Nikki Laoye, Bouqui, Tim Godfrey and Frand Edwards. Talks are however, still on to feature gospel super stars, Micah Stampley and William Murphy.
According to Okposo, it’s becoming imperative to keep promoting the brand all over the world. “Firstly, it’s all about reaching out and evangelizing the word via gospel music.
