Gomez is said to have attended Hillsong Church NY led by Pastor Carl Lentz early this month and during an interview with ‘Elvis Duran and the Morning Show’ on iHeart Radio, Gomez expressed the pain of having to go through the paparazzi taking photos of her before and after church.
The popstar stated:
“It’s also still a little disrespectful, I have to be honest. I think they get the objective of me going to do something and when I leave it’s like they almost want to make it worse as I’m leaving church but you can’t leave church in a bad mood.”
“I felt very empowered when I walked out and I was very happy,” she continued.
She talked about how Christianity has impacted her life as a whole explaining that her faith has kept her life on the right track.
She stated:
“I haven’t really been all over the place lately and that’s kind of intentional. I think it’s important to balance out where I am, and I’ve been doing this for a really long time, and my sanity has meant everything to me, and a lot of that is my faith,” she said.
It is said that Gomez is not just a regular attendee at Hillsong but has also led worship at the megachurch.
On her recent album, she wrote a worship song called “Nobody”, a song she performed at a Los Angeles concert, along with Hillsong Young & Free
