The Nigerian Police Force Renamed To The Nigerian Police
The Nigerian Senate went through a series of meetings, tackling various bills last Wednesday July 26 2017. One of such bills included voting to rename the Nigerian Police Force.
The Senate came to a conclusion after a total of 87 senators voted for the change of name.
The senators for won over 2 senators who voted against the bill to change the name of the security outfit.
The Nigerian Senate declared the name change from the Nigerian Police Force to the Nigerian Police.
Some other bills which the Nigerian Senate also voted in favour of includes one which alters the constitution to allow independent candidates contest elections in the country.
The Senate yesterday also voted to end all hope of a former president of the country, Goodluck Jonathan to contest for a second term in office during the forthcoming 2019 presidential elections.
The Nigerian Police Force based on the authority of the Senate will now be regarded as the Nigerian Police.
