Shoggy Tosh (born in Birmingham, United Kingdom on 9 January 1974) is a multi-award winning publisher, producer, author and television presenter mentored by Tim Omotoso. Shoggy is the founder of The Official Stars Homepage Magazine, TV & PR and also a British/Nigerian rapper. On 9 January 2014 (on Tosh’s fortieth birthday) he released his debut rap single, “emujow” featuring Shady Blue and Jamaican gospel dancehall star, Dunamis Reignz.
The song was written and arranged by Tosh (with the exception of a verse and the hook) and produced by Pastorchild at the 709 Studios in London. All profit made from the song goes to charity. “emujow” which means, ‘dance’ in yoruba language, has had airplay and featured on radios and blogs worldwide (especially in the Caribbean, Nigeria, parts of Africa, United Kingdom and Europe) since its release. In the first week of February 2014, the song topped the reverbnation ‘dance’ chart at number 1 in London, peaked at number 1 in the whole of the United Kingdom and number 55 in the world. ‘Emujow’ can be described as a rap afro pop tune, fused with a bit of ragga and soul. It is a song that would not only nudge the body to move to the classic beat, but also the soul.
Shoggy Tosh shot his debut music video for ’emujow’ on 11th October, 2014 with award winning Director, Femi Best Touch in Addiscombe, London to be released in 2015.
