I want to make a difference in this world, stand out and be God’s breath of fresh air in all of the foulness that has dominated our world today. This decision of mine doesn’t come as a surprise, as day by day, we are quickly blending into the static…
Please hit the play button below…(and when you get tired of listening, like I am, then pause and read on…)
I find it so hard “finding me” in all of the static we’ve got going on. I’m beginning to feel comfortable in all of these and it’s going to be worse than a catastrophe. I’m starting to blend into the norm, the news of war, disasters, disappointment, wrong choices (turning right), all static, mind blowing, deafening static!
The Spirit is struggling to be revealed in all of the white noise, but no one is ready to hear a new song, as we are beginning to dance to the static rhythm.
With all of these bottled up inside of me, the point of writing about it just faded, so easily, as I thought to myself, what difference will it make? But someone else thought differently and as I surfed through the internet, I stumbled upon Pa Billy Graham’s words which I’m about to share with you.
Could it be that we are now deeply engulfed in the static WE have formed? “We have taken God out of our educational systems and thought we could get away with it. We have sown the wind, and we are now reaping the whirlwind. We have laughed at God, religion and the Bible.” said Pa Graham.
We wake up daily and are quickly embraced in the frustration I’m talking about and as the world gets more populated, the static widens. “Many Christian parents are becoming fearful that they cannot properly train their children in this lawless and wicked age, and are asking, ‘What can I do with my son? My daughter?’ said Pa Graham.
Many people roam our streets with no conscience. Hence, the evil gently seeping through the light which salvation brought us and we’re beginning to wonder how someone could hurt a fellow man and not feel sorry… “We are beginning to reap what has been sown for the past generation,” he said. “We have taught the philosophy of the Devil, who says, ‘Do as you please.’ Behaviorism has been the moral philosophy of much of our education in the past few years.”
We have so deeply embraced freewill, that we have let go of commandments of what to do and what not to do.
Every time, when I seem to be driving myself too hard, His Spirit, which bears witness with mine calls me back with these words, “hold up Amy, in all of these static, can you please find a little time for me?”
And so, I’m throwing those same words back at you today… In all of these static, all of these “must dos”, all of these choking fetters that have taken you over and out, can you still find time for family? We would have better, purpose-filled individuals in our world if and only if we would take time out to teach our growing generation the truth as against all of the deception the world throws at them freely.
In all of the static and deafening impulsion to do what everyone else is doing, can we still find time to review our choices? Christ did not save himself from the world, through all of the tests and trials and obvious standards of doing things their way, instead He saved the world for Himself. So how come we make Him struggle to be revealed in us?
Can we make a stand to do things differently?
Can we choose to spend quality time with our Father? We have become engulfed in all of the earthly demands, the demand to make more money, to work more, build more estates, expand our wealth and fame that we’ve completely let go of quiet time.
Through all of the good days, and the bad days, can we find time for the Bible?
And if all of these are just mere words to you, and you have no reason to give ‘this God’ any better part of you, then take heed (hit the play button above again and listen) for the static is about to swallow you up…
