Of all these three Faith, Hope and Love, the least appreciated of all yet the greatest essence is the latter – Love. A word that denotes “Agape”.
The world, references love as the shape of the heart but this is superficial to the true representation of love, which is the cross. The Cross is the love sign and not the heart, a deep interpretation by Pastor Flourish Peters during the FHL conference 2021.
#FaithHopeLove Conference 2021 concludes on a high note premise on the deep revelation of The Love of God in Christ. Our spirits by the grace of God has embraced unexplainable love and we are reminded of this by the power of salvation.
Paraphrasing the words of Paul “like births like”, Pastor Flo stated that;
“Whatever you are born from or made of sustains you. Salvation was born from the love of God so it is sustained by the love of God. Anyone who has accepted this love of God in Christ, through the same is made more than a conqueror.”
There is recalibration in our spirit and a mindset shift that as believers, our boast is not in our love for God but His love for us. We are kept by his love for us that also restrains us from falling short of grace.
The love of God is aggressive forgiveness, encapsulated in love-work and not legwork. It necessitates the fact that we don’t have to perform to belong, Jesus has already died for us and we are made perfect by the efficacy profoundly emphasized by Pastor Flo.
Religion puts on you a demand to perform but grace birthed by love enables you to become. In order to become the son of God and also an heir of the kingdom, God the son had to redeem with his own life. What depth of love can beat that? Therefore, our destination is powered by His love.
Pastor Flo explained that;
“We received the Love of God vertically to dispense it horizontally as the cross is. Although, if anyone has not accurately received the love of God, you cannot adequately dispense it. How then should the gospel be preached? Should the dispensing or sharing abroad what we have received be laced with an underlying tone of fear? This will contradict what the Bible explains “perfect love cast out fear.”
The founder of the LOGIC church expounded that;
“The message of the gospel is not a threat message rather a love letter”.
A love that makes a believer transparent to the father. However, anyone who has not received the love of God is not hopeless. Such persons are the reason why ABBA (father) sent grace and love. Whoever is saved does not need salvation except he who is not.
