Tim Godfrey’s group Republic Of Xtreme (ROX) have announced a revolutionary Nigerian musical titled “The Journey Begins” to take place next Saturday, September 28, 2013. According to an official press release The Journey Begins is a Broadway drama and musical concert integrated into one seamless spectacle.
Mainly within a law court setting, it opens up with the stories of six individuals confronted by somewhat common challenge. Then it follows the trajectory of each character’s peculiar emotional dilemma, leading to a thought provoking resolution, before climaxing in a high energy musical performance.
“The Journey Begins” is directed by the acclaimed theatre director, Joseph Ofili. The cast of the musical comprise an interesting lineup of well-known personalities such as Nollywoold actors Joseph Benjamin and Femi Jacobs, comedians Julius Agwu, Akpororo and Lapacious Bose, musician Banky W, Tim Godfrey & Xtreme.
The Shell Hall Muson Centre will come alive on the 28th of September 2013 as the Republic of Xtreme in conjunction with SwiftThink Limited brings to Nigerians a blend of Music, Drama and Dance. This exhilarating broadway and concert tagged “The Journey Begins” promises to be one to always remember.

The musical which is powered by Republic Of Xtreme (ROX) in conjunction with SwiftThink Limited, was born out of the need to inspire a generation of young Nigerians to take up responsibility and avoid using life’s numerous vicissitudes as excuses for apathy and failure. It is a movement geared towards building individuals who understand that mistakes, challenges and setbacks are a crucial part of the human experience and existence.
The drama and concert are scheduled to hold firstly in Lagos and then tour across various states of the country before being taken across the globe.
The Journey, according to the organizers, will be an evening of wholesome entertainment: a night of excitement and learning; comedy and reflection; an explosive experience of music, dance and drama.
