And its official…This Sunday will be another major landmark moment for the Nigerian Gospel Music Industry as Church 3:16,in conjunction with Wahala Media Entertainment, play host to Chanelle Haynes-Schwartz (of Legendary American Gospel Duo, Trinitee 5:7) for its special Variety Sunday event this weekend.
One of the longest standing female groups in the world,with a career span of over 15 years and counting, Trinitee 5:7 consists of Chanelle and Angel – widely renowned for their major hit singles – “Holla” ,”God’s Grace”, R-Kelly’s “You Saved Me”, “Listen” and more.
Slated to also perform at the Women Celebrating Women Conference, holding today at Eko Hotel, Lagos, this would be Trinitee 5:7’s first visit to Nigeria ever and in Chanelle’s own words, she says “I am so excited to come to Nigeria and I do look forward to having the Nigerian Worship Experience. I feel like I have friends and family in Lagos already”.
Nigerian Gospel Diva, Nikki Laoye (Personal friend to Chanelle & Project Manager, Wahala Media Entertainment) teams up with Pastor Jimmy Odukoya (Co-ordinating pastor of Church 3:16 -The youth arm of The Fountain of Life Church,Lagos) to make her wish a reality.
The Variety Sunday mini concert holds tomorrow, Sunday 16th June, 2013 by 10am, at the prestigious DARLINGTON HALL, Ilupeju, Lagos with performances by Chanelle, Nikki Laoye and the host himself, Pastor J. There would also be a special guest appearance by sensational gospel singer, PITA.
Church 3:16 has come to be known as a meeting point of sorts for international Gospel acts as earlier this year, they played host to Grammy Award nominated HipHop Artiste, Da-Truth.
