UK based artiste, Yusuf Yakubu teams up with Minstrel K.I in his new release “Burn”.
While the title captures the ‘Consuming Power of the Lion,’ the song captures a heart cry in the words of Prophet Jeremiah – Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (Jeremiah 20:9, KJV).
Yusuf shares a heavy dose of encouragement with his new song;
“A broken and a contrite heart, an immense desire to turn from old ways to the way of the Lord. The cry of a continual fellowship and touch with the Holy Spirit.
A prayer to only do what Jesus has laid in my heart to do. Only a heart that is consumed by the fire of God can do such things. A heart that carries and runs with the fire of the Spirit of God.
This song is a prayer.”
The song is a reminder of how the word of God can transform our lives from the inside out. Only when we allow the Spirit in us burn can we really experience the power of God first hand.
